Fun Vintage LGBTQ+ Dive Bar Wedding at Spirit Hall

As soon as I arrived at the charmingly retro Spirit Hall in Lawrenceville for M + D’s wedding, I was welcomed by one of the most fun and lively groups I’ve ever worked with. The day was filled with eclectic, vibrant details, including gorgeous yellow, orange, and blue florals, the couple’s embroidered accessories, and beautiful custom vow books adorned with ribbons. Both of them are active in their local roller derby scene and their teammates brought the same celebratory energy to every part of the day. After an onstage ceremony under a disco ball, guests enjoyed a super funky reception soundtracked by DJ Jess. One of the night’s speeches outed an old Reddit post from one of them talking about how they had a crush on the other one, and it was such a good moment. They also passed out t-shirts with their faces on them, which became a hot commodity on the dance floor. At the end of the evening, we were able to sneak up to the rooftop while it was still under construction for some sunset portraits.
